Rental+ was launched in 2015 (under the name U-Select), and being part of industry-leading PKL, (a Lowe Corporation Company), means that we have a wealth of experience working within the commercial catering equipment market. Our parent company, PKL Group was established in 1988 and is the UK’s leading supplier of temporary and permanent modular kitchens, and commercial catering equipment for hire. PKL is vastly experienced in supplying commercial kitchen equipment to a wide variety of customers throughout the UK and around the world each year. In 2019, PKL Group was acquired by Lowe Rental, a global leader in the supply of refrigeration equipment.

Dedicated Engineering and Service Support

We are experts in commercial catering equipment. As a department of PKL we utilise a number of in-house facilities and support services to ensure that we keep your catering equipment running when out on site.

Catering Equipment Service and Engineering

Our in-house test and inspection centre, Kit Heaven, is dedicated to the maintenance and quality control of commercial catering equipment, and is the largest in Europe. The facility includes a number of specialist catering equipment cleaning bays, engineering zones and commissioning centres to ensure that catering equipment is cleaned and maintained to the highest standard.

In addition, each item of our Used Approved catering equipment passes through Kit Heaven where it is cleaned, tested, commissioned and quality control tested before it leaves our premises for your business.

Dedicated Engineers and Technical Support Service

We employ our own team of engineers to ensure your kitchen keeps on running . We also have a number of in-house facilities dedicated to the engineering and maintenance of commercial catering equipment. Kit Heaven, our in house maintenance, test and inspection centre is staffed by a team of catering equipment engineers, cleaners and technical support staff, who are all experts in the maintenance and operation of commercial catering equipment. Whether it’s maintaining equipment or ensuring items from our Used Approved range arrive to you in the best possible condition, we’re here to look after you and your kitchen.

When it comes to procuring new catering equipment you are in safe hands. We regularly replenish items of our 10,000 strong hire fleet of catering equipment, procure large amounts of equipment for specialist large-scale events and have also supplied 100os of commercial kitchens throughout the UK over the last five years. We have close links with many leading brand manufacturers and can provide specialist advice when you are specifying catering equipment for your new kitchen.

About PKL

PKL Group has over 35 years’ of experience in supplying catering equipment and modular KitchenPods throughout the UK and around the world for both temporary and permanent uses.

PKL developed the world’s first temporary kitchen in 1988 and quickly grew to be a leading supplier of temporary catering infrastructure for hire throughout the UK. As PKL has developed, it moved to the supply of permanent catering infrastructure, both through the supply and management of heavy duty items of catering equipment for commercial kitchens for contract hire and more recently through the supply of permanent modular KitchenPods and food servery kiosks for hire and sale.

Located just outside Cheltenham in Gloucestershire, PKL employs around 100 people and undertakes over 500 hires of catering equipment and temporary kitchens each year. In addition, PKL has supplied nearly 300 permanent modular kitchen buildings throughout the UK over the last five years.

PKL’s customers include large blue chip organisations, local authorities, schools and universities, hotel and restaurant chains, major UK music festivals, event organisers, contract caterers, the emergency services and large scale retail outlets.

On a global scale, PKL has also supplied large scale kitchen and dining complexes for large scale sporting events including the last four Olympic Games and the last four Commonwealth Games, as well as the UK and US military.
